Terms, License & Refund Policy

1. What you are buying

A one-time digital license that unlocks the Intermediate and Advanced units of the Indentwise web course (hosted lessons, exercises, and quizzes that run Python in your browser). The Beginner unit is free and does not require a purchase. After you pay, Gumroad shows your license key on your Gumroad receipt email and download page. Paid content unlocks on this site only after you activate that key here (successful activation on this site is what counts as access).

2. License (personal use)

• The license is for one natural person (you). It is not a school- or company-wide seat unless we sell a separate team product.
• You may activate the key on a limited number of browsers/devices (currently three). This limit is enforced by the Indentwise site at activation on each new browser/device, as configured; it is not a Gumroad feature.
• The license does not expire for so long as we continue to operate the product, subject to these terms.
• No redistribution. You may not share, resell, publish, or give away your license key, receipt links, or unlocked premium lesson files.
• You may not scrape, mirror, or rehost the paid content for others.
• We may deactivate keys that are shared, abused, obtained fraudulently, or tied to a payment that is refunded or charged back.

3. Merchant of Record & taxes

Gumroad acts as Merchant of Record and reseller for this product. Gumroad handles checkout, payment processing, receipts, and the calculation, collection, and remittance of applicable sales tax / VAT / GST; any such tax is shown at Gumroad checkout. In some cases (for example, certain business buyers outside the U.S.) you may have to account for tax yourself under a reverse-charge rule. The Supplier (Andrew Micah Perry) provides the course content and grants the license. Your payment is also governed by the Gumroad Terms of Service. Indentwise is sold through the Clear Week Studios storefront on Gumroad, part of Steady Path Co. Receipts and card statements may show Gumroad or Clear Week Studios. (Gumroad statements typically begin “GUMRD.COM*”.) For payment or receipt issues you can reply to your Gumroad receipt or contact us at info@steadypathcompany.com.

4. Refunds (digital goods)

Our policy: No refunds for change of mind once you have activated your license key on this site. We will fix, replace, or refund for failure to deliver, a product that is materially not as described, duplicate or incorrect charges, and where a refund is required by applicable consumer law or by Gumroad’s own policies. This does not affect rights that mandatory law does not let us waive.

Activation, not email delivery, is the trigger. Emailing the key after payment does not by itself end refund eligibility under this policy. “Accessed” / “unlocked” means a successful activation of the key on this site, which we log.

We (and/or Gumroad) will still help in these cases:

• Failure to deliver — you paid but never received a license key, or valid activation fails and we cannot fix it within five business days after you contact us → replacement key or full refund.
• Product not as described — a material mismatch between the listing and what was delivered → fix, replace, or refund.
• Duplicate or incorrect charges — billing errors.
• Not activated within 14 days — if you request a refund before first activation and within 14 days of purchase, we will refund and deactivate the key.
• Mandatory consumer rights — including, where they still apply, EU/UK withdrawal rights for digital content (see below) and statutory remedies for faulty digital content.

Refund requests: email info@steadypathcompany.com with your order email and order number. We aim to respond within two business days. Approved refunds are processed through Gumroad to your original payment method.

Gumroad’s own refund rights. Nothing in this policy limits Gumroad’s handling of refunds, chargebacks, or disputes. Under its published policy, Gumroad may issue refunds within 90 days of purchase at its discretion (for example, to prevent chargebacks), refunds fraudulent or duplicate charges, and honors the 7-day withdrawal right of consumers in Brazil for website purchases even where a product says no refunds. See the Gumroad refund policy. You can also dispute a charge with your card issuer or payment provider. If a payment is refunded or charged back, we may deactivate the related license key.

5. EU / UK consumers — right of withdrawal

We sell worldwide, including to consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another place with a statutory cooling-off / withdrawal right for distance contracts, you may normally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason.

For digital content supplied without a tangible medium, that right typically ends early once supply begins, but only if, before supply begins, you gave prior express consent to immediate performance, acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal, and received confirmation on a durable medium.

On this site, before your first activation, we show an unticked, required checkbox separate from agreeing to these terms, in substance: that you want immediate access to the premium course and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once access begins. We log that consent (time, key, terms/consent version) and confirm it by email or another lasting record. Activation is blocked until that box is ticked.

If those conditions were not properly obtained for your order, your statutory withdrawal right may still apply for the full period. Nothing in this page is intended to take away rights that mandatory law does not let us waive, including statutory remedies for digital content that is faulty or not in conformity.

6. Course content, AI & disclaimer

Indentwise is an educational product. It does not guarantee employment, exam results, or professional certification. The course was drafted with AI help and reviewed by Andrew, who is responsible for the content. Report errors to info@steadypathcompany.com and we will correct material mistakes when reasonably able. The course is provided “as is” except for non-excludable warranties under consumer law.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the site to attack infrastructure, bypass the paywall, or harass others. We may suspend access for abuse, fraud, or legal risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Supplier’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Indentwise web product or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the license that gives rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that mandatory law does not allow to be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or non-excludable consumer rights.

9. Governing law

These Supplier terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another forum’s law. Courts located in that jurisdiction may hear disputes arising from these terms, except that if you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence may also apply, and you may bring claims in your local courts where the law requires.

10. Changes

We may update these terms for new features or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after a posted update means you accept the revised terms for future use; purchases already made keep the refund and license rules that applied at purchase unless law requires otherwise.
